What is RHANAC?The Rental Housing Association of Northern Alameda County (RHANAC) is a non-profit organization that represents the interests of owners and managers of rental housing. RHANAC members range in size from small investors with just one property to large property management companies that own or manage hundreds of units. RHANAC is one of the fastest growing apartment association in California. Our membership consists of nearly 2,000 rental housing owners, property managers, attorneys and other service contractors. Altogether, RHANAC represents over 25,000 rental units. The region served by RHANAC includes the cities of Alameda, Oakland, Emeryville, Albany, Berkeley and Piedmont. The association is governed by a Board of Directors, consisting of independent rental property owners and executives from property management firms, who are elected by the general membership. RHANAC is a local chapter of the statewide California Apartment Association, which lobbies on behalf of the rental housing industry before the State Legislature, State agencies and Office of the Governor.
